An Ethiopian housemaid was arrested for killing her newborn baby at her sponsor’s house in Jabriya, said security sources.
Case papers indicate that a citizen reported hearing baby’s cries that soon stopped when her housemaid, who had been in Kuwait for five months only, took too long inside a bathroom. Suspecting the matter, the sponsor called the police.
Checking the bathroom after arresting the maid, policemen found out that she had given birth to a baby.
She soon strangled the baby and dumped it in the bathroom’s dust bin.
The bathroom’s floor was all covered with blood.
The maid told policemen that she had been pregnant after having an affair with a boyfriend back at her home country.
